This was such an intriguing story!

Eloïse wakes up on a Greek Island and remembers nothing. There's a group of 4 people on the island as well, who rescue her. In the meantime, her husband, children and grandparents are going crazy with worry in the UK. A third narrative of the story takes us back to Eloïse's childhood.

Ar first, the story is pretty slow but then it takes off and I raced through it trying to figure out what happened to Eloïse while she herself is trying to do the same thing. I figured it out at about two thirds in, and then raced through it even faster, to find out whether I was right and how Cooke would bring that home. I can't really go into all that without giving away too much, but I really liked it. The afterwords explains the author's choices and reasons and gave me goosebumps.

Highly recommended!

RATING: 2.5 STARS
(Review Not on Blog)

I did finish this novel, so one star for that, and the writing and plot idea wasn't too bad (so 1.5 stars more). I found this book slow, odd characters and hard to follow. I don't think I would try another book by the author.

***I received an eARC from NETGALLEY***
