i genuinely only finished this book because i’m behind on my schedule for my reading challenge. i wanted to put my kindle down and give up so many times. only give to 2 stars because i didn’t mind the banter at times, mostly from the guys not the main character. she was not funny.

okay first of all i was shocked to find out that the author is actually british. this book screams of american author overdoing it to make their character different. the main character, lilly, who is supposedly english kept using these absolutely absurd insults that i have never heard any english person use EVER! i cringed every single time. don’t get me started on her outfits they were described in such detail every time but they were awful to imagine. what 17 year old girl wears 1950s clothes ALL THE TIME!
this character was so dull and not funny that not even having a murdered mother made her interesting to read about - harsh but true. SHE CALLS HER VAGINA “HER VAGISTY” repeatedly REPEATEDLY!!! had to pause every time like why? why?!

the love interests, also 17/18 years old, are somehow going about beating people up for information for their parents. who is letting a group of teenagers do that? also so embarrassing for the people they did “target”. also as part of their “intel gathering” or whatever they download child p0rnography onto their victims computers to get them arrested. WHY DO THEY HAVE CHILD P0RN IN THE FIRST PLACE? why is that just simply skipped over?

the smut - meh…
happened almost every page sometimes for no reason but it was just meh. but if you’re very into protected sex you’ll love it, they wear condoms every time and it’s mentioned EVERY time… lot of smut but it just quick and done every time.

so in a nut shell i don’t recommend. there are so many other books with almost the exact same starting plot line out there, girls moves to a new boarding school - meets a group of hot, popular bad boys - starts sh@gging them - 75% drama - happily ever after. so look around find a different one just not this one
