An interesting series of reads, very enjoyable at times. I didn’t love each and every contribution, and I don’t think the splitting up in five volumes is quite necessary (as many of the essays would fit under several of the other topics quite easily). I do, however, now have a whole new wish list of authors to explore.

One of my favorite lines from this book is “Our social positions are differences, not boundaries that prevent our talking, working, loving, and being together.”
