John Lewis and his thoughts are always 5 stars, of course. This book is a collection of his thoughts, arranged in brief sections by topic. It was put together towards the end of his life (apparently first released just a few days before his passing in 2020) and so it's not clear if maybe the format was influenced by trying to get these reflections together as his health declined. Some of the sections read like complete (though still brief & easily digestible) reflections on the section topic, while others are even shorter and sort of end abruptly-- reading like they may have been rearranged out of larger interviews between Lewis and his editors in the process of putting this volume together (rather than him sitting down to intentionally get down his thoughts on that topic). Despite those occasional interruptions in flow, this is a very accessible read and a great reminder of the life, legacy, and principles of John Lewis.
