Brutal comienzo. En la "linea" de Joker (2008). Oscuro y sordido , un Batman humano sufriendo junto a un maravilloso Constantine.

I heard about this book because I was in a comic shop when the owner got a call asking if they had it, after which he went into this long awkward explanation that DC had printed Batman's penis and everyone was going crazy looking for it. So while I looked into the title because of penis-gate, the story sounded interesting and I liked that Constantine was in it, so I decided to read it. It’s interesting so far but not without flaws. Joker might be dead, Batman is falling apart and we don’t really know WHAT’S going on, and John Constantine is providing confusing af narration. His narration, while interesting, is actually my biggest problem with this volume. For as much as there is, it could be much much tighter and contribute more–I don’t think it’s carrying its weight right now. But there’s definitely room for vol 2 to get really good. Also, throwing away the “scandal” side of things, I think Batman stripping down and the end of this as he’s breaking down works symbolically. It’s a great visual to go with what’s happening. It’s a vulnerability that’s hard to get from Batman.
