their relationship was so blant, the storyline was so uninteresting and i seriously cant belive she forgave him, like how can you trust that man???

This was SO good! I've been wanting to read the twisted series for a while now and am so pumped to read the other books.

This story follows an aspiring photography student and her brother's best friend - an overprotective, somewhat morally gray businessman. The storyline was really interesting, and I found myself actually being shocked by some of the plot twists!

There were a *few* moments that were predictable, and I cringed so hard at the gallery scene....but everything else makes up for it. 😌

3 stars! This book wasn't for me. Ava is a senior in college majoring in photography and Alex is a wealthy, genius business man who is also Ava's brother's best friend. When Ava's brother takes a semester off of medical school to volunteer in South America, Alex is asked to look after Ava, but even though Alex knows he should keep his distance, he can't stay away from Ava. The first part of the book was filled with juvenile methods to get the hero and heroine to spend time together. I was initially intrigued by Alex's dark personality and possessive nature, but the plot to build up the tension between the characters wasn't there. It felt like the author didn't make up her mind about what the main plot would be and instead wanted too many things to happen which made it so the story didn't flow well and both character's actions didn't make sense.

Unexpected… quand j’ai entendu parlé de ce livre, je m’attendais à quelque chose de cliché qui se rapproche beaucoup des fanfiction, des fictions Wattpad,… et ca a été le cas. Et j’ai étonnement adoré ! C’est très cliché, un ennemies to lovers/ Brother’s Bestfriend classique mais qui fonctionne parfaitement. Du « je déteste tous le monde excepté toi», « would burn down the world».
Je ne m’attendais pas au côté résolution d’un meurtre, et des passées aussi tragique.
Je m’attendais à être déçu, et finalement absolument pas ! :)
