Received through Dark Lit Press Free Little Horror Library.

I had to listen to the last 10 minutes again as it felt like it just suddenly ended.

I didn't get on with this one sadly. Didn't have a lot of substance, regardless of the small word count.

Well, I should have known better to read this before falling asleep last night. Such nightmares.

The use of repetition in this story really put me on edge, "onetwothreefour", what are they counting down to? The ending just hit me out of nowhere, I really did not see that coming but phew, it was intense!

The creepy fairground wheel gave me strong Ray Bradbury vibes (Something Wicked) and I loved that! There is so much crammed into so few pages, it is a wonderfully uneasy read.

If you need something quick and uncomfortable, I would recommend this... Just maybe not right before sleeping!

A very quick read that gives some Silent Hill vibes (and also made me think of The Rust Maidens) before a final reveal you won’t expect. Loved it.
