I think it's NOT bad at all. In fact, I loved it!
I love the themes of power struggle, colonialism and magic all in one melting part AND ALSO THE MARRIAGE PART!
But at one point, it's kind of sad too. Prospero was able to meet his objectives (sorta to be back into Naples)... but Caliban continuously to be the one oppressed from the island and the one lesser in power.
I thought the beasts were quite Disney too, with Ariel spying on all these CONSPIRACIES TO KILL PROSPERO.

I absolutely adore this play! “ hell is empty and all of the devils are here” is just a perfect line! I really do love everything about this play and think the language is wonderful, it reads so nicely and fluently and you can visualise everything that is going on. Prospero and Ariel are very interesting characters and I love the dynamics between the supernatural and the mundane characters. I would recommend this to anyone interested in Shakespeare.
