I'm not a big Elektra/Daredevil reader so this still works as a pretty good re-introduction to the characters with a modern twist. Well, modern enough for twenty years ago. The plot is fairly straight forward but works as an origin for the two leads with some nice art.

I actually like this one. The art was nice and the story was good. It definitely made me understand and like Elektra more.

I REALLY enjoyed this, the only thing that disappoints me a little, is that, yes, rape is awful, but is it that bad to turn Elektra on her morals like this? I'm not sure, I thought there must have been a murder at least, but okay, I'll accept this.

It was ok but like a lot of the other reviewers stated, it relies on more character knowledge then is offered in the story. It is a timely story and captures the characters but it’s pretty short and there is little character development.

I loved elektra but she is too good for Matt in this volume. because he is a liar and goody two shoes. She was right some people need to die and the law is crap.

The Ultimate Marvel universe is about reinventing classic marvel characters for the modern age. To do this most of the ultimate characters get even cooler background stories. Elektra on the other hand has her back-story replaced with an episode of Law & Order: SVU. It's the most mundane thing that could've possibly happened to the character and it is no surprise that this series didn't go past volume 1.

I understand the marketing of putting Daredevil's name first, but this was definitely Elektra's book. Matt just happened to be there. Decent origin story.
