Much better than first book in the series, Mister Romance. The characters were more interesting and the plot more relatable. With a few laugh out loud moments, heart string tugs, and steamy scenes, I could definitely see this one as a re-read in the future.

The Masters of Love series continues with Professor Feelgood and this is about Eden's sister, Asha Tate. Asha is an editor in a small publishing house and is one of the candidates for promotion. In order to be promoted, she's searching for a potential bestselling author. She wants someone whose words emit passion and will connect to his/her audience. The first person who comes in her mind is Professor Feelgood from Instagram. The anonymous guy is popular for writing beautiful poems about heartbreak, loss, life and love. She is a huge fan of his work and believes his words are powerful and affecting the lives of many.
She contacted him, at first he's hesitant and later accepted her offer after their phone conversation. Her excitement about her new project vanished when they met in personal. Apparently this guy she admire because his words is someone from her past and she despised him. Now she doesn't know how they'll work as a team when there's an animosity and unresolved tension between them. Is Asha attracted to him despite of her hate? Undeniably.
Leisa Rayven slays once again with a classic enemies to lovers romance with a lot of angst! I'm drawn from start to finish. Asha is sassy, intelligent, independent and witty. Her personality is very likable and authentic and I love her for that. Professor Feelgood is a brooding, sexy jerk. But when he comes around, his heart is full of love. He got his heart broken by someone he thought was his soulmate and meeting his former best friend isn't helping him. I cannot mention his real name because it's a spoiler and goodness me. I ended up loving him just like Asha. I swooned over him and his revelation about his poems made me love him more. I'm happy Asha and Professor Feelgood reunited and settled their issues from the past and the present time. This made their relationship worthwhile. It's nice to see Max and Eden here. I do hope Joanna will have her own book. I adore her and she's freaking hilarious!
Overall, the story is slow burning romantic and perfectly executed, the sexual tension between Asha and Professor Feelgood is SPOT ON and the character development is fantastic! You'll never go wrong with Leisa Rayven's books. Her books are well written and sizzling romantic. What surprises me are the beautifully written poems. The words are soulful and poetic. It truly moved me. If Ms. Rayven considers writing a poetry collection in the future, I'm totally down for it. Here's one of the poems I like:

This was so much better than I expected. I was a bit let down by the first book in the series, but Professor Feelgood checked all my boxes for great romance.

Leisa Rayven is a magical unicorn writer, everything she writes, I love. Professor Feelgood was a great next installment in the Masters of Love series (it can be read as a standalone) and I loved Asha and the Professor so so much. My favorite part about this book was the theme of looking inward and recognizing your mistakes. Also the power of perspective was an excellent theme of this book, one that doesn’t get covered a lot in romance.
I love Rayven’s stories and her writing. If I could I would go all Kathy Bates on her and have her write me stories all day long, I just don’t want to break her legs haha.

I’m here crying my heart out while wondering if I’ll ever be able to find a love like this. I’m deeply amazed by this book, that’s for sure.
Tal vez sea 5 en vez de 4 porque cuando escribo esto aún ando llorando emocionada tras terminarlo, pero realmente este libro me ha encantado y gracias a mi "amiga invisible" por recomendarlo, ¡ahora a por el 1!

Quien me siga en IG sabrá que este libro lo empecé en un reto de intercambio, mi "amiga invisible" (que aun no sé quien es) me mandó leerlo y estoy muy agradecida. Aunque técnicamente me he saltado el primero (que ya me lo leeré) los libros son independientes así que puedes leerlos por separado.
Lo que más destaco del libro que ha hecho que me ría tanto como hacerme llorar, es que está lleno de humor, emoción y una fuerte dosis de ternura ¿qué mejor para el mes de los enamorados? Además, crea cierta intriga y sorprendentemente tiene algún giro que no vi venir (y suelo ser buena adivinando qué va a pasar).
Los protagonistas me han gustado mucho y cómo vamos viendo su que se desarrolla su relación. Aunque no son personajes únicos y fuera de tópicos, me parecen bastante buenos y, gracias a dios, nada tóxicos, que a veces temo ya que vayan a serlo en estas novelas.
La novela es una mezcla entre chic-lit y romance new adult. Es divertida, con un pelín de drama y acompañada de personajes secundarios muy interesantes. La hermana ya me ha enamorado y aún no he leído su libro (el primero) y solo espero que el siguiente sea el de la amiga porque es genial.
Para terminar he de decir que se lee rápido y engancha, pero si es cierto que al final da la sensación de que acelera demasiado. Así como al inicio pasaban muchas cosas en poco tiempo y cada jornada es intensa (todo transcurre en unos pocos días al principio), al final todo ocurre muy seguido.
¿Conclusión? Recomendada, especialmente si te gusta la romántica.

I LOVE an enemies-to-lovers story. These (in my opinion) have the most angst, comical events and off the chain chemistry.
I loved this story and the "story of Jacob and Asha".
There are feisty moments, heart warming moments and heart wrenching moments.

Gestaltung
So klischeehaft die Cover von Leisa Rayvens neuer Buchreihe sein möchte, so schön finde ich sie aber auch. Mir gefallen die Farbkombinationen, gerade die leuchtenden Farben vor dem hellen Hintergrund finde ich toll und auch bei diesem Buch wieder sehr gelungen. Für mich müssten auf dem Cover jetzt gar keine Männer abgebildet sein, die Farben würden mir absolut reichen.

Im zweiten Teil der Reihe geht es um Asha, Edens kleine Schwester. Eden durften wir bereits im ersten Band Mister Romance näher kennen lernen. Asha möchte unbedingt eine erfolgreiche Lektorin werden. Dazu muss sie aber nun den nächsten Bestseller an Land ziehen. Das ist schwieriger als Gedacht, dabei hat sie schon jemanden im Auge.
Er nennt sich Professor Feelgood auf Instagram und postet neben sehr attraktiven Bildern auch unglaublich tolle Gedichte. So hat er auch Ashas Aufmerksamkeit erlangt. Sie versucht nun alles, denn Autor für sich zu gewinnen.
ACHTUNG: Ab hier wird gespoilert, weil mich einiges einfach doch sehr gestört hat!
Alte Liebe rostet nicht
Obwohl ich während dem lesen noch dachte, es würde mich doch nicht so sehr stören, war ich am Ende dezent davon genervt, dass sie ihren Professor Feelgood tatsächlich schon kannte und er kein Fremder war, was ich persönlich spannender gefunden hätte. Ich bin absolut der Meinung, aufgewärmt schmeckt nur Gulasch und was Liebe betrifft sollte man da keine Ausnahme machen. Zumal die beiden von Hassen zu sich SEHR mögen innerhalb von Sekunden gesprungen sind, nachdem sie wenigestens Begriffen hatten, dass sich einfach nur mit einander reden müssen. Ich fand es toll, dass sie versucht haben, ihre Probleme mit Gesprächen zu lösen, was leider nicht so ganz geklappt hat. Der Umschwung war mir aber definitiv zu schnell. Man hätte die Spannung ganz anders aufbauen können, wenn Professor Feelgood jemand fremdes gewesen wäre.

Warum einfach, wenn es auch noch einfacher geht. Ja, als Autor muss man das Rad nicht neu erfinden, man kanne s auch gar nicht. Jede Geschichte wurde schon mal irgendwann irgendwie ähnlich geschrieben, aber ein bisschen überraschungseffekt wäre hier schon ganz nett gewesen. Die Handlung war extrem vorhersehbar und die beiden Figuren sehr berechenbar. Ich hätte mir mehr Abwechslung gewünscht. Obwohl ich sagen muss, dass ich Asha zumidnestens mochte. sie war nicht ganz so schlimm wie ich befürchtet habe und ist mir im Laufe der Geschichte ans Herz gewachsen.

Die Geschichte war okay, sie hat mich nicht besonderes überrascht, konnte mich während dem ersten Lesen aber durchaus begeistern. Ich habe mich für die Figuren gefreut und etwas mitgefiebert. Für Freunde der Romantik kann ich dieses Buch absolut empfehlen. Wenn ihr etwas mit einem gesicherten Happy End braucht, ist das Buch genau das richtige für euch. Wenn ihr aber eher auf Überraschung steht, dann solltet ihr das Buch mit Vorsicht genießen. Mir hat es zwar gefallen, aber im Nachhinein sind mir doch einige Punkte etwas sauer aufgestoßen, so dass ich nur drei von fünf möglichen Monstern vergeben möchte. Der erste Band hat mir definitiv besser gefallen.
