This was so amazing. AMAZING. 6 stars! Heartfelt, raw and real. A beautifully written and well executed story. It feels like I went on an incredible journey and felt every single bit of emotion the characters went through. Absolutely brilliant.

Asha and Professor Feelgood were truly incredible. I loved learning about them, the connections, history, pain, and longing. They’re flawed and a little broken and there is so much tension and angst, it could be intense. It was extremely well executed. I loved the build of getting to know them, understanding their past and who they are. Their was just this pain emanating from them that I could feel and I knew underneath it all there was going to be something powerful and oh man it was worth the wait. This book resonated with me deeply, I felt it in my soul. The more I learned about them, the more hints I got, the more questions I had, the more I loved them.

The writing was brilliant, the story is told from first person POV and it was done exceptionally well. I was truly hooked, turning the page because I was consumed with wanting to know what was going to happen next and how it was all going to play out. I loved seeing the bits of foreshadowing of certain things while others caught me completely by surprise. I was guessing my way through this book, nothing was as it seemed and was not predictable at all. I don't know the last time a book kept me guessing until the end. This had one of the most amazing builds ever. I loved all the details, how the history developed when things were learned, and how it was all laid out. It was a wonderful slow burn romance. The poetry was captivating. There were a few lighter moments with some other really great characters mixed in rounding it all out.

It's crazy how much a book can affect me, how absorbed I get, lost in the story and characters. I don’t think there’s one thing Leisa Rayven has written that I haven’t loved, that hasn’t affected me in a profound way. I love being able to put my heart in the author's hands and just trust where it’s all going to go. This was just so much more than I thought it was going to be. It was just an absolutely beautiful story that I can’t begin to say enough good things about.

This book!!! Wow, I"m blown away by how much I loved it. Is it a traditional romance? No. Do the H/h get together in the first half of the book. No, not until the last 20%. Should you go in blindly? YES!!!! Do not read reviews or a blurb because there is a delicious twist that made my heart happy. By the end of the book, I was sobbing happy tears. Yes, partially because I haven't read a five-star book in almost a month, but also because by the time the two get together, I really felt for them and understood their hearts and desires. Fear and misconception can make people do funny things and act in ways that do not quite align with their personalities. I can totally relate to that. Oh and ignore the stupid name, if there is anything to take off the score of this book, it would be that. It makes this sound like a sexy guy that takes charge and is taboo. This is NOT that book. Not that there is anything wrong with that type of book, but don't go in looking for that here. Although this is my first book from this author, it is definitely not my last. Her voice is poetic and beautiful at times. Snarky and funny at other times. Highly recommend this book. Fantastic!

If I didn't have to sleep last night, and adult today, I would have definitely finished this book in one sitting. It's just so, so good!
I had a fabulous time reading Professor Feelgood. The longing, the angst, the tension, the slowly unfurling history between Asha and Jake. I realise that this might be one of my favorite tropes: second-chance romance, with ALL the angst.
Leisa Rayven knocks it out of the park with Professor Feelgood, and I didn't think I could love this book better than Mister Romance, but turns out, I actually do.
5 brilliant, brilliant stars for pushing all my all-the-feels buttons.

I cannot wait to read Doctor Love next. Joanna is an intriguing character! I'm excited to see how she pairs up with Toby.

Also, special mention for Derek: I remember not really liking him in Mister Romance, and Leisa made me change my feelings about him in Professor Feelgood. I'm not sure if we're going to get his book, but I wouldn't be averse to reading it, just saying.

Professor Feelgood is right!!!

I absolutely devoured this book. I loved every minute of it! The plot is so unique and the romance falls into so many tropes. Leisa did an amazing job with this story.

Asha and the Professor have so much chemistry which is only built up with all of the tension and fighting between them! I fell in love with the Professor myself and couldn’t get enough.

This was the perfect slow-burn romance! I loved all of the surprises and mysteries that were thrown into this story. They helped so much with the pacing of this story that when the slow-burn romance finally sparked up to flames, it was 100% worth the wait!

This book can be written as a standalone but I highly recommend reading Mister Romance first. I felt much more connected to Asha because I had already met her in the first book. We also get to see where Eden and Max a little bit in this book and loved it!

I can’t wait for the next book in this series, Doctor Love. I really hope that Joanna is the female lead. I have fallen in love with her in these first two books. She is a hoot!

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

I finally got around to reading this book yesterday, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The poetry Professor Feelgood writes on his Instagram page was, in one word, HOT.

I didn't read the first book in this series, but as this was a stand-alone, there wasn't anything confusing about it. The characters were written well, the plot was easy enough to understand, and the banter between Asha Tate and Jacob Stone was wonderful.

The only thing that was missing from this book was a lack of romantic chemistry between the two main characters AFTER they got together. The tension between them throughout the book was obvious, but it was only when they got together that the book became a bit stale. There weren't any heart-stopping or emotional moments after the characters got together, which was something that disappointed me, but other than that, the book was great.

Edit:

I just finished reading this book for the second time, and I have to say that the chemistry between the two characters AFTER they got together seemed better this time around.

3+ Sterne:

Its always been you...

I didn't cry, but then I did. This was amazing. Raven will always have a fan in me, she writes with so much passion so much fullness. I loved Asha and Jake, definitely more than the first. I think it's because I relate to Asha in so many ways. I couldn't wait till the figured it out, but I must admit, when they finally did, it wasn't enough. Here we have these two characters bickering at each other and then they just fall. I need more, I needed more steam, but then I think about the type of characters they were and maybe it wasn't needed. I just didn't want it to end. It was wonderful and you don't need to read the first to read this one, but reading the first will help to understand some dynamics. You should read it... 5 stars!

am i crying because i’m a mess or am i a mess because i’m crying?

4,5 stelle. Bellissimo, la lettura ha smontato tutte le mie aspettative e con grande gioia, però non mi ha colpito come il precedente da dargli il massimo numero di stelle.
