I really don't think it comes to much surprise that I loved this book. This is gonna be a little spoiler-y so just a warning. I'm too tired (shocking) to sensor myself.
Leisa Rayven delivers another wonderful story centered around Asha, Eden's sister, and her love for Professor Feelgood. For about a month she has been following this mysterious figure on Instagram, falling in love with him over every post he makes public. His way with words in his poetry moves her emotionally and physically, and she hasn't been able to feel that level of chemistry through any relationship. Hung up on a man she doesn't know, she does find the time and ability to have a boyfriend who she is holding at arm's length. Until she has the opportunity to work with the Professor personally... and all other men may just be shot to shit once she lays eyes on the man whose work she's been inspired by lately.
He agrees to work with her in being the book deal that pushes her into becoming her publishing company's new editor. The Professor, after talking to her privately and on the phone, makes a comment about how she may come to regret this deal once she realizes how hard he is to work with and while at first, she found that laughable, she soon realizes that this dream is definitely no dream. She has built herself up all of these years to avoid this very position and now he stands in the way of her dream job. But his work is as undeniable as their chemistry so they trek forward with the deal despite their issues. The problem is that the more they avoid talking about anything outside of their book deal, the deeper these issues will grow, and the more unavoidable they will become.
I loved seeing Max and Eden again, just as a start to this review. I really enjoyed their book and it was just a wonderful reminder of how much I liked Max.
But Asha and Jake kinda hurt me a little. It was honestly so relatable for me that it stressed me out because it played into this weird idea I've always had about old crushes/friends coming back into my life. SO READING THIS WAS A LITTLE HARD, I GOTTA BE HONEST.
Asha kind of annoyed me. She and Jake were so hostile and like... I understood the anger because there was a lot of shit that they had to hash out that they were NOT hashing out by choice, but like.... chill. It was a lot and kind of unnecessary at that level. So we had to drop a star. Really probably half a star if I'm honest but we don't get this option on goodreads. We do get circle profile pictures though... that was a useful update.
Anyways, the rest of the book was fabulous. Once they air out their shit it's a whole new Jake and Asha and I will love them forever. Jake is so fricken sweet it hurts me and the two of them pick up where they left off all of those years ago. It truly was easy to love them at this point of the book.
Jake's poetry was really impressive but honestly, the things he'd say would be so sweet and it just made me love him more and more as the book went on.

The guy on the cover is hot but he isn’t how I imagine my Professor Feelgood. Too old perhaps.
I had lots of chuckles and giggles reading this book. Lots of the laughs were about Joanna who is really just a supporting character but she was hilarious with her Oscar and chauffeur and friendship with Sarah Jessica.
Prof F is one of those combination books that hits lots of spots. It’s enemies to lovers. It’s boy next door. Best friends to lovers. All are worked well and had me team Jacob.
It’s a fab, funny read.

Asha and Jake have the perfect amount of snarky chemistry in the beginning and by the end their love story makes sense. Their background also makes sense how they ended up as enemies and then bringing them back together also made sense. I really enjoyed this novel!

Leisa Rayven has done it again!! PROFESSOR FEELGOOD is a beautifully written story full of gorgeous prose and just the right amount of angst!!
I can't even begin to explain this book to you in a way that fully describes it in all of it's glory. It has everything that you could ever imagine all wrapped up into one book. It's a lifelong love, enemies to lovers, mistaken identity, friends to lovers romance that will hit you with all of the feels!!
It was no surprise to me that I would fall for the hero, the mysterious Professor Feelgood, pretty quickly but I was kind of surprised about how mad I was at Asha and some of her choices for a majority of this book. I UNDERSTAND why she did some of the things that she did but I didn't like it. However, as the story proceeded and I get to know her and PF more, things start to make a lot of sense and I really found myself rooting for them.
Without a doubt my favorite part of this book was reading Professor Feelgood's poems/posts/excerpts and listening to him describe life, love, loss and trying to move on. Normally I find myself rolling my eyes and generally being annoyed by flowery prose but I was rooted to the pages of this book and the beautiful writing from Leisa Rayven. This is an absolute MUST READ!!
