I liked the main story (with Woody and Kipp) but there were so many subplots and minor characters that I found myself wishing the book would focus more.

Again the usual Dean Koontz, a vulnerable young central character challenged by one dimensional villains. Too flowery with the language and research at times. The novel was helped by an interesting concept of intelligent dogs.

Devoted by Dean Koontz was 3/5 ⭐️ for me. It wasn’t a typical book I would have picked up myself but it was still interesting. Without the rapid back and forth between characters I definitely think it would have lost me though. The story itself was kept at a low slow burn that I felt never reached a significant peak. Dean’s descriptive writing style was suburb however and really helped to make the different scenes come to life.

it felt like a lot of loose ends and badly written disney movie about dogs that tried to be a bit more scary.

Loved this book. It’s a nice fiction fantasy novel and keeps you engrossed throughout. This book has definitely pushed Mr. Koontz to one of my looking forward to authors. The story keeps you engrossed between Kip and Woody and you really keep looking forward to the next steps. Thoroughly enjoyed the book

Started off really good for the first half or so, then took a sharp left to crazy town and lost me in the dust.

I adored this book. This seems to connect to watchers. So if you like that book you’ll probably like this one also.

Beautiful!
