I found this to be a bit of a mixed bag - I enjoyed some of the stories more than others. You can definitely tell this is a collection of some of Christie’s earlier works - some stories feel a bit “prototype” like and not as polished. I liked the supernatural themes though.

A very satisfying set of spooky reads. Highly recommended for Halloween reading. Some stories are supernatural, others only appear to be, and there's fun in wondering which it is.

It is a collection of 20 short superstitious / horror / witty crime stories.

Some were entertaining, few with unexpected endings. And of course, just like other collections of stories, there are a few that just make the reader feel lost by the plot.
