a cute collection of stories between cats ≽^•⩊•^≼ and their owners, mostly from the perspective of the cats.
we meet 4 cats: chobi, mimi, cookie and kuro, (their stories are intertwined) each and everyone of them gives us insight into different themes such as: friendship, loneliness, happiness, death and companionship:

I love cats and this book did not disappoint. I liked how the stories were interconnected and how the POVs switched from cat to owner.

-Minor Spoiler: my favorite quote from the book, but other than that, this review is safe!-
Tldr: This book is a must-read for cat lovers or those who love Japanese literature in general. The stories are interconnected and whimsical, like you're watching an anime anthology or a Ghibli movie. It has that feel of dreamlike wonder, happiness, sadness, and coziness at the same time and I have no idea how Makoto Shinkai did it! I'd like to keep this short review as spoiler-free as possible, so you can experience the story for yourself.
Probably my only concern about the writing style is it tends to switch viewpoints somewhat rapidly (sometimes after a couple of sentences?), so some readers might have a hard time keeping track of who's narrating, but other than that, this is a light read. That would probably melt your heart, specially if you're a cat lover like me. Sigh.
I'd just like to leave a quote from the book that made my heart ache a little bit. It's also from probably my favorite character in the book.
(tagging it as a spoiler just to be safe!)
Do give it a read!
