I think this book suffered from me not reading them in order. I struggled in the middle, but I think I’m going to go back to the first one and try it

I liked it, but you could tell the FMC was young. I thought they could have communicated much better. It was clear they were obsessed with each other and they could have avoided a lot of heartache if they talked about it. The story had promise but the execution is off.

Bianca has been in love/obsessed with Sandro since she was young and now that he works for the rival Rossi family to her Delucci family he tries to keep her away from his life thinking that she's too good for being with a made man. However after Bianca finds out that Sandro is engaged and thinks he's also about to be a father she sneaks into a Rossi event and her brother Renz is shot. The Rossi's want to force her to marry Gian but Sandro steps in and takes over the family, marrying Biance who he finally has admitted to himself that he loves. Bianca though has lost her obsession/love for Sandro and now he must win back her love and obsession while keeping her away from her family until it is safe to be around them again.

I really loved this book. Every book in this series is utterly captivating and Bianca and Sandro's story is no exception. I love how strong Bianca was and how devoted she and Sandro were to one another I also really enjoyed their rich history. I can't wait for the next book of the series and I hope it is about Dom and Sloane who I really loved in this book.

Imma need to backtrack and get to, not only the first three books but also Ava and Cesar's story! This one was good and had me hooked. Didn't see the bad guy coming at all.

These two were always meant to be together, and the fact that Sandro was stopping himself made me feel glee when he gave in. Now, Bianca doesn't want to. Make him work for it, girl!

Sandro pissed me off with his hot and cold behavior, I can understand where he's coming from, but the moment he had a green light he should have taken it instead of messing with her life and boyfriends all for his selfish reasons. He didn't grovel, but there was no need for that because he suffered and that slow burn got me. His possessiveness and the obsession he had with his new wife was the best. It made his past transgressions redeemable and he was perfect from then on in my eyes.

Bianca was so relatable as an obsessive personality girlie, cause I know what it feels like, to fall and to try and stop yourself from falling again. She was a little naïve and contradicting at times, but I understood her age and the circumstances. She made me proud by making Sandro fight for her and openly loving his darker side. Also, the ring? I would NEVER say no to a rock weighing down my hand...

The family relationship was so cute and supportive. I need to go back and read not only the first three books in this series but Ava and Cesar's book.

Thank you to Victoria and to The Author Agency for this e-arc!

Enemy mafia families, fmc who fell hard & fast when she was young, and a morally gray mmc who's pushed her away thinking he will never be good enough for her. But when she drops her obsession for him, he realizes he truly cannot be without her. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding and rising tensions lead to a mistake that cannot be undone and to keep her from the hands of his more demented family members, he does the one thing he always swore he wouldn't -- marries her.

My thoughts:

This had potential for me and at times I really did like it; but in the end, it just felt too disconnected for me to love it. It's labeled as "can be read as standalone" but as someone who hasn't read any of the earlier books, I'm not sure I'd fully agree. There's a lot of family member and past events mentioned that felt glossed over to me.

Additionally, I really couldn't get fully absorbed in the romance or plot because it kept skipping over parts that I felt were important and then later we'd get a recap of "this is what happened".

Like I mentioned though, there were times I did really enjoy the read. I liked Sandro (mmc) and Bianca (fmc) both individually and together, and I really enjoyed the way Bianca embraced being his wife and the changes to her life. The possessive and protective side of Sandro was hot -- always down for a man who would torture anyone who wants to hurt his girl.

Overall, I think this will be enjoyed more by those who have read the earlier books, and it just came down to not fitting for me personally but not actually a bad book.

Thank you to TheAuthorAgency and the author for the opportunity to read early via an e-ARC. Review is my own, honest opinion.
