MDZS will always hold a special place in my heart since it was my first. This feels more like an art book of a story I’ve consumed so many times in so many different mediums. However, I would not recommend this manhua as intro to MDZS or danmei in general but if you love the story, it’s definitely worth it IMO.
This volume reminded me of a few things I love about WWX:
WWX supporting JC- as his brother, a leader, etc
WWX accepting losing his sword arm is worth it for peace
WWX realizing just how amazing LZ is
WWX always having a soft spot for Wen Ning
As someone who started with The Untamed (the novels weren’t even officially published in English yet) I was reminded of something I loved about the live action more than the novels….
Yanli and Mianmian! I love them so much. I was shocked when they weren’t as prevalent in the novels.
Personally I loved this volume (and all previous ones) but I am biased towards this story so I have no idea if it’s actually a good manhua 🥴

I’m not going to write a full review purely because my thoughts on this volume are pretty much exactly the same as my thoughts on every other volume. These are such fun reads and I love how the art style brings this story to life, but I do think the choppy cuts would make this tricky to read for anyone who wasn’t already familiar with the novels/show.
