Other than some of her dates and her dad, grandmother, and sister, I really liked pretty much everyone else. I absolutely loved Kareena's aunties, Kareena's friends, Prem's friends, Prem's mother, and I actually liked Prem as well, even if he's frustrating when it comes to his feelings most of the time.
There were a few things that pulled me out of the story a time or two, but it wasn't enough to get me to stop reading. It just brought my rating down a little bit.
I'd most likely recommend this if someone asked me about it. It was definitely an entertaining read overall.

I really enjoyed reading this! I am not familiar with The Taming of the Shrew storyline, and I am always a bit hesitant when reading adaptations when I don't know what plot lines are based on the original text and which aren't. However this didn't really impact my reading experience here since the whole time I was invested in the plot. There were a number of really fun rom com scenes, like the pani puri eating competition, that really made this a fun read for me. I also really enjoyed how self aware Kareena was as a character, and how she advocated for herself from the beginning but also became more confident in herself as the book went on. The steamy scenes were also excellent! I found Prem's character to be a bit controlling and I found this off-putting. While I think that this may have been part of the adaptation to The Taming of The Shrew I felt like his sense of entitlement to Kareena and the way that her pursued her sometimes without her permission could have been more addressed at the end of the book. When he insists on calling her a nickname that she keeps telling him she doesn't like, and forces her to go on outings with him when she doesn't really have the option to say no, wasn't a great part of the book for me. I did really enjoy the discussion about different types of love, and different ways that people communicate love to each other. I thought that this theme was the strongest in the book.
