I loved the overall story arc and character development (plus I'm always a sucker for a Taming of the Shrew adaptation). Unfortunately, there was a bit too much spice for me personally. A few chapters in the middle were so spice-heavy that it started to pull me out of the story, and I found myself starting to skim over it to get back to the plot.

Cute and quirky, bringing in an Asian culture twist to the fake dating and romance genre. I think the best part of this book were the messages given to Kareena were relatable and unfortunately common within society where when you get to a certain age and are unmarried individuals like to tell you you are the problem and need to lower your standards. This book showed how the right person can change that narrative and that it is ok to be authentic and feel fulfilled on your own. However, I felt disappointed that various terms were used to describe intimate moments but when it came to describing the male appendage it was referred to as ‘Charlie’ why????? Instant ick!

Not flawless by any stretch but overall a really fun, sweet and spicy romance.

I laughed most of the book and only cried a little. I began recommending it to friends at page 70. Such a good romcom
