A short sweet holiday novella from Pippa? Yes please! Cash Rivers finally gets his happy ending in the delightful story. I will say it's more contemporary and less comedy than what Pippa usually writes, but it's still fantastic.

If you want a quick anti-Christmas read, this is fine but don't expect too much above surface-level.
Cash and Aspen
Synopsis:
Spoiler
Cash, close to 40 and a successful boy-band turned Hollywood celebrity, finds himself snowed in with the young (15 years younger than him, to be exact) snarky and reclusive Aspen. Their relationship thus far has been a kindred friendship primarily via texting and the occasional attempt to repair shit (since he's her landlord) but it's never passed into the territory he wishes... until now. Aspen's life up to this point has been hard and she's learned to survive without the support of others. Allowing herself to explore her feelings with Cash is daunting because it could ruin everything but some chances are worth taking.Review:

This book read suuuuper short and I think was maybe 150 pages... which is a bummer because there was a lot of substance lacking that could've been solved with more time. In fairness, this is the first book from this series I'm reading -BUT- I don't think that's an excuse to have ZERO character development or even some friggin exposition. We're clear that Aspen's life up until this point has been pretty sucky. The chip on her shoulder about the holidays is warranted... but why? What happened? Cash says he loves her but he barely knows her besides their limited interactions. It's cool she wrote this song while thinking of him but maybe give us that flashback. Bring us on their journeys a little bit because they went from super awkward interactions to loving and needing each other in a matter of a few chilly nights and I feel like we have nothing to grab on to.Ratings:

Fantastic!
I loved everything about Cash and Aspen's story. Emotions all over the place. The family and friends in this book are the kind you want in real life. Fantastic story!

Such a great read for the holidays coming. I mean who wouldn't want to be snowed in with a hunk like Cash Rivers!! Great quick read to get you in the mood for the holidays!
A super cute Christmas novella that made me want to curl up in front of a fireplace. Cash and Aspen overcome a small hurdle on their way to love. Pippa Grant proves that you don't need to have 400 pages to have the cutest on page romance.
Well, it's about time. I guess Cash Rivers was waiting to speak to Pippa Grant until Aspen Bowen arrived on the scene.
Former boy band and current Hollywood Heartthrob, Cash has really lived a relatively quiet but good life. He's never stopped making music, although he did stop making it public.
Aspen Bowen has been renting Cash's pool house for a while now - we never really got her back story until now and even now it's a little opaque. She definitely does not love Christmastime though.
But Cash has big big feelings for Aspen. He's reluctant to act on them though, because he doesn't want to be the creepy old dude hitting on the hot young on-the-rise superstar.
Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, Mother Nature plays a BIG role in trapping Cash and Aspen in a small cabin during an ice & snowstorm.
Love Love Loved this one - short but packed with feelings and heat and love.
