Beautiful

I expected nothing less from this amazing author, lol. Sterling and Barrett's story was so sweet, cuddly and absolutely beautiful. I loved how Barrett made Sterling see his true beauty and all the sweet, sweet loving.

Re-read Feb 2024: Still loved it just as much as the first time around.

This was my first book by this author and will not be my last. The tust and love that grows between these characters is so harmonious you can't help but smile throughout.
A chance meeting has these 2 men drawn together so strongly there is no way they go without each other. With the trust of the other they each learn to be loved for who they are not their money or looks. Beautiful read looking forward to Brave Boy cannot wait to see more of Emerson and Kiernan.

Sterling (waiter) & Barrett (mogul) Barrett finds small-town Sterling. He's a bullied sweetheart with a large facial birthmark. Barrett is intrigued from the first moment and takes him away to Las Vegas to be his boy. He wants to protect independent Sterling. Strong Daddy Dom kink. This kink isn't really for me but it was interesting to see the relationship.

Sweet. Hard to believe, but that's a romance novel for you. Reality isn't really a priority. Still, it was a fun read.

3 stars because I loved Sterling. This would’ve been 5 stars if a few more things had been fleshed out such as Barrett’s back story, more of Sterling’s back story, and a third act drama.

Maybe I will like the other two novels in this series more but I am not holding my breath. I’ll read them because I’m nosy.

I really struggled with finishing this book. I read 2 books and a novella in between and this is not a good sign. I had high expectations for this book. I'm a sucker for a good Daddy Book, and I'm picky with them. I had hoped for this book to blow my mind. Sadly, it was an okay read and I wanted much more than what was given.

Many things didn't work for me:
- One dimensional characters... especially Barrett. He was simply too good, too perfect. He didn't give off the "Daddy Vibe", even if he is the Praise Daddy part of the spectrum.
- Inconsistency with the character traits... for example, Sterling is bashful and meek one second, then feisty the other. It didn't add up for me.
- Sterling's accent which seemed to go on and off.
- The fact that Sterling just accepted daddy kink from the get go, with no introduction whatsoever. The premise was too abrupt.
- Them getting together in a matte of days... and not just dating, but moving yo another city, moving in. Too much too fast.

I wish I had liked it. KM is a fave author of mine, but this book didn't feel like a book of hers. Everthimg felt rushed and put together haphazardly. Even the Sex scenes were dull.
