I came looking for a monster romance novella and I got it? it delivered on the monster and the premise of the romance was beautiful, even the world-building was pretty elaborate for a novella. but for a monster romance, I would've wanted more infinitely more spice. so it was just okay for me.

Not exactly what I expected . . .
But I enjoyed it regardless. Mathior is fierce and I LOVE that he is willing to do whatever possible to prove to Halla that she is the only one for him, despite their age difference. It's cute. I hope the rest of the series stays in this world. I'd love to get a follow-up on how they've progressed.
