Well that was a trip, I kept thinking I knew what was going on and boy, was I wrong. I liked this quite a bit. It does have its issues, but the fact that it was a well written, unique story, pretty much held my attention. I also appreciated that it was presented with artwork within, that was refreshing. Overall I enjoyed it.

Summary:
Mallory Quinn is fresh out of rehab looking for a new start. She takes a job as a nanny for Ted and Caroline Maxwell, looking after their five year old son Teddy.
Teddy loves to draw, but one day Mallory discovers that he has drawn a man in a forest, dragging a woman's lifeless body. Mallory begins to believe that Teddy may be drawing them at the force of something supernatural, and that the pictures may be related to an unsolved murder in the very cottage she is staying in.

Thoughts:
This was such a unique thriller! I couldn't put it down. It starts a bit slow, but near the middle to the end my mind was being blown with the turn of every page. I couldn't finish it fast enough because I was so shocked by all the twists! I needed to know how it finished. I was devouring this book by the end. To be honest, I haven't been this thrilled by a thriller in a while!
I loved the town history and urban legend aspect. The characters are diverse, different races and even classes. The addition of the illustrations of the pictures that Teddy is drawing was such a great touch to this story. I love visuals and it was so refreshing to see the pictures in an adult thriller. It added a bit more creepiness to the story as well.
This definitely went in a totally different direction than what I was expecting and that was also very refreshing. If you like mystery, urban legends, and the supernatural this will be right up your alley! If you are looking for a completely original, dark and twisted mystery/thriller... I can't reccomend Hidden Pictures enough!

Thank you Flatiron Books and Jason Rekulak for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
