‘I give and I give and I give
But I don’t empty
So I give and I give
Until I can pretend
There is quiet
Somewhere
Inside me’

I loved this book!! The verse holds so much feeling & flows seamlessly.
Soft & tender whilst dealing with the topic of heartbreak and loss.
Such a lovely depiction of the Queer experience and first real love.

Lesbian vampire with a gay vampire found family.
There were some ideas for vampire lore that seemed interesting, but was underdeveloped and confusing unfortunately. The author at the end said this was the first book she's written that feels unfinished and I think I have to agree.
The book is described as a horror, but I can't agree. It's sad, but not scary.
