I really enjoyed this quick read. I was not expecting the vampire element when I picked it up but I feel it was done nicely. I've read a lot of people were unhappy with the ending, I personally loved it
how the relationship ends because of their differences and how Immy is stuck inside her own head really tied to all her past lives, it felt like a very realistic ending to a relationship where two people still love eachother so much, but life together was just not meant to be

'Baby Teeth' is a delicate Sapphic love story written in verse, between human Claudia and vampire Immy, who lives with fellow vampires Henry and Freddie, and tries her best to get through eternal life while struggling with a kind of malaise and depression about her state of being. It contains some painfully beautiful lines, and I thought it grew stronger and stronger as it went on, although I found it a little overwrought at the beginning, and sometimes a little repetitive.

I find this version of vampires to be very interesting! The concept of an immortal that has lived several lives as several different people is fascinating and I would love to see more of Immy, Henry, and Freddie.

I know this is marketed more as a love story, but I really feel like there was more focus on Immy trying to find out who SHE is among all the voices and memories from her previous incarnations. She desperately wants something uniquely hers and hers alone and it's hard to find that when you've already lived so long as so many other people. I cannot imagine that kind of struggle.

This was such an interesting story to read! Absolutely loved the descriptive poetry, was slightly disappointed by how the story ended.
