this book isn’t bad at all - i just feel nothing for it. i picked this up because i heard it was super moving and makes you cry etc etc. but when i finished it i felt nothing. maybe it’s a me problem, but i was waiting for the sad part and then it… never came? 

brownie points for the representation but unfortunately this just wasn’t my cup of tea

As a lesbian & hardcore Twilight fan I knew I'd have to get my hands on this piece when I first heard about it and it did not disappoint. So well-written, I felt for Immy every second of the story and I'll definitely be coming back to this book whenever I'm having a rough day to know I'm not alone in my struggles. 
I didn't know this book was written in verse when I ordered it and upon finding out I was a little worried whether I'd still enjoy reading it since I'm not a native speaker and have no recent experience with reading poetry in English but it was a fairly easy read. It's the kind of book you can read in one sitting and still feel like you've been reading for days.
