This is an enjoyable novella that works as a standalone from the larger Fractal series. It has a strong plot and a good mystery at its core, which also makes the reader consider some pretty tough questions about morality and humanity. The characters are interesting, but not written as very complex, with two exceptions, which did somewhat damper my enjoyment of the story.
