Die Storyline wäre vielleicht noch interessant geworden, aber die Charaktere sind dermaßen klischeehaft und eindimensional, dass es kaum auszuhalten war.
Die junge, hübsche Andrea in ihren Miniröcken ist selbstverständlich - trotz abgeschlossene Ausbildung - inkompetent in ihrem Job und absolut naiv, wenn es um die Liebe geht: Bad Boys mit Tattoos und Harleys.
Julie, unsere Hauptprotagonistin, ist natürlich klug, hübsch und kompetent in ihrem Job - ohne abgeschlossene Ausbildung -, macht sich nichts aus Äußerlichkeiten und trägt deswegen „Schlapper-Look“. Trotzdem können sich zwei charmante Männer nicht von ihr fern halten, weil sie etwas ✨besonderes✨ ist. Ugh. No thank you.

This has got to be my favorite Nicholas Sparks book. No spoilers here, but you need to check out this book! Great, great story!

This book started as a normal Nicholas Sparks novel and it hits you with twist and turns surprising you at every turn. I loved the characters and the back story on each person. This story kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't wait until the story unfolded to see what would happen. Great read.

I did not catch the "suspense" descriptor before starting this, so it was not the listen I was expecting 🙈 it was definitely more thriller than Typical Nicolas Sparks romantic drama. It was a bit too slow paced and too much on the thriller (as opposed to mystery) side of suspense for me.

This is a book I reread often. I think this is one of THE BEST storylines Nicholas Sparks has written and it doesn't get enough hype! This book has such a good build up and an insane ending. Honestly would make such a great movie.
