This was disappointing. There were two elements to this book: 1) Romance between two friends - the dialogue was so cringy and there was zero passion 2) a stalker - the most underwhelming stalker who was just nowhere near creepy enough to make this a page turner!!

I loved this book it was the first of his that I read and it really got me reading Nicholas Sparks. I cried so hard at the end I loved the dog!! It was so sad and happy and well sad again. I loved the book sad or not!
I have to say. Even though I've read all of Sparks' books and liked and loved them, this one just didn't catch my attention as well. I also thought the characters didn't have any development throughout the book and I hated Richard's character. To be honest, I didn't like this book.

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I have to say I really enjoyed reading his book, it's a story about love, obbession and has a lovely ending! Definitely a recommended read.
First off, I loved this book. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a ‘page-turner’ (not until the very end anyways), but alas, it was still such a good solid story and I found myself sobbing by the end of it. Nicholas Sparks has a nifty way of doing that in his stories, I guess
Subtle misogynistic trends, every man was a walking red flag.

A lot of pieces were very predictable, but it kept me engaged throughout as there were minor variances from what I expected to happen.
Overall, was mostly happy with the ending and how (almost) everything was resolved in the end.
