This was OK..not the best Nicholas Sparks..but worth reading!
I bought the book because of some great romantic movies by other books of this author. But in contrast to other books made move-in just don't like the writing. The stories are not deep enough, the characters are boring. The story is just boring... sorry. I was definitely expecting more....
Hands down - my favorite Nicholas Sparks book to date.

Amazing! I cried like a newborn. I'm always up for a love story and I LOVE thrillers so, needless to say, the combination was right up my alley. Terrific book. Nicholas Sparks has done it again ladies and gents. :)
Listened to while driving on trip. Found myself often frustrated by some of the choices made by the characters, but I was stuck in the car with no other books left to listen to!

when julie lost her husband, he left her with a great dane named singer. years later, julie is ready to find love again and it starts on a date with richard. except richard is much more into julie than she is into him. trying to move on, julie falls in love with a longtime friend mike. meanwhile, richard is suddenly showing up at all the same places as julie and he claims it is a coincidence.
the nicholas sparks book i never knew i needed. thriller crossed with romance is top notch. richard was such an entertaining and creepy dude. without him, it would have been the most boring and basic romance ever. also, can’t go wrong with a massive dog who can read people like a book. had fun reading this and even think people who don’t gravitate towards sparks would enjoy it.

Really good romance/thriller. Got me hooked until the last page (where admittedly I did cry like a baby!). Just another fabulous Sparks novel.
