Skimmed. Kind of up its own butt, but I like the bit about distinct spaces.

Yet another "want to be more like the people in that one country? Light some candles!" book.

An approachable book about making a house a home. It has good, actionable tips.

An interesting companion read to Marie Kondo’s books. Use Kondo’s method for clearing out possessions that don’t spark joy and then create spaces in your home to display those things that DO.

TLDR: The French Way of Life is Awesome
Good:
The color is beautiful
Bad:
Writing is not compelling
Too few images to support point
Drags on
I think after all my Hygge and Lagom reading, I have hit my limit on the way that life in foreign countries can make us better at living. I found the writing equally unappealing.

A charming book on how the French consider their home. Being a European what it is really interesting is the comparison between the American way and the French way.
Some good advice on how to improve home.
Very good.
Many thanks to Edelweiss and Dey Street Books for an advanced copy.

I enjoyed learning about the French way of creating a home. I’m not sure how common this way of keeping a home is for all French people, but the ideas she presents in this book were interesting nonetheless. I found myself making very slow progress through it, despite it being a smaller book. It was interesting, but not a must-read.
