I'm not going to read the last one as I'm just not interested. Everyone turned crazy in this. She was paranoid in the starting scenes and he was a crazed jealous fool later on. He all of a sudden is pissed she's slept with other men and he's refusing to sleep in that bed because others have lol he wasn't even angry for her safety, just that he realised she'd had boyfriends/lovers before him. The king of flings lol. No thanks.

In this sequel, the cast is back in London, where Anna is returning to her normal job, and she's trying to get over everything that happened during her week in NYC. But this one just didn't feel the same as the previous one. It felt like this one was a lot slower, and it felt like even though the book was short, it took forever. I do like how Ethan came back into Anna's life, and this one was kind of a workplace romance. But it felt like Anna didn't care about her career in this one and went crazy girl mode in this book, too. I just kept getting annoyed with them in it.

Ok so here's the skinny on why I only gave this book 3 stars.
I'm going to try and not spoil anything for anyone here so bare with me.... This story picks up after Anna returns to London and Ethan remains in New York, I liked that there was no missing time, it helped the story be cohesive. Anna is living her life home in London the way anyone would that fell in love in a week's time with a stranger. She tries to get over him, but is failing miserably. Ethan is on the other side of the ocean and battling his need for Anna to be at his side when an opportunity strikes. Ethan is being sent to London to take over a firm there, little did he know who would be an attorney there.
The very best part of this story came at the end of A Week in New York when she painfully deletes his number from their phones so neither can call the other. Parting on terms that they drew in the beginning and holding true to her word. Now months later Ethan is on her turf in London and better yet he's her boss.
The spark is still there between them but for some reason I felt off, I found myself uninterested in the story and able to put it down, when book one had my full attention, this one was hard to become emotionally connected to.

Another good audiobook in this series following Anna & Ethan. This was a second chance at love and had an important lesson about speaking up about what your truly want as you never know if it's the same thing the other person is wanting as well.

This book was better than the first! Saw Ethan & Anna grow, especially Anna (I loathed her in the first book). Excited to read the final one in the trio!

DNF LB can write but there’s not enough depth to keep you interested. Just sex, beautiful people and Anna’s sadness.

Louise Bay, your Empire State Trilogy is one of my favorite books series!!! I can usually pick one book from a series that I loved the most, but in this case it’s impossible!

A Week in New York (#1), Autumn in London (#2) and New Year in Manhattan (#3) are equally incredible!!!!!!

Every book flows so beautifully from one another that it makes you think of it as one big book, instead of 3. We are travelling from city to city in such an elegant and graceful way that it captures your soul.

And let me tell you something else…

I absolutely adored Anna and Ethan!! They are perfect for each other and the universe sees it and decides to draw them together, no matter the continents, disregarding any hurdle.

Both Anna and Ethan made mistakes, but they learnt from them. They put their love, their relationship first, above everything else. It is such a unique love story, with unique characters.

I am so happy that I got to read this series..I loved it from the bottom of my heart and it really is one of my all-time favorites!!!

I could go on and on, analyzing the story and the characters, leading and supporting, but the truth is simple. This series is one of the best series out there and you will be missing something significant, if you don’t read it.

Every book of the trilogy is a 5-Star Novel and the series is more than 5 stars..

I always see the last book as a celebratory to the characters..I see it as a way to replay every previous book and realize how much I just loved the series. So, that’s why I’m focusing on the trilogy and not on the last book, because the last book is the fireworks, the tribute to the characters that gives them their happy ending.

The Empire State Trilogy is beyond words.
-If you haven’t read it, hurry up and grab the books!
-If you have read the first two books, then you know that the third will be just as amazing!
-If you have read the first one, well then what are you waiting for?

It’s a precious love story that everyone must read!!

So, it was really a no-brainer for me.. New Year in Manhattan, as well as the entire trilogy, receives 5 Amazing Stars!
