This is a bittersweet book to read. It’s got some fantastic ideas of how to improve Britain and how to make it a successful and enjoyable country to live in, but it was written in a more hopeful time when it looked like Corbyn would be our next Prime Minister. It’s sad to see what we could’ve had, especially when compared to the economic situation we’re in now. Hopefully other left-wing parties will one day pick up the policy ideas contained within this book and bring them to fruition.

Good chapters on AI and data, accessible economics and economic pluralism
Some inaccessibilities despite essays about making economics more approachable and accessible
Final chapter of tax them to shit
Decent overall if a bit dense
