this book hit me like a freight truck, backed up off of me, then rolled over me again, repeatedly, but in a good way

I am in love with this book!! This is no doubt one of the absolute best books I have ever read in my entire life!! It's on the same level as RW&RB for me which says A LOT! I didn't think it was possible tbh.

Casey McQuiston is just AMAZING with characters. I feel like every single one of their characters is such a fleshed out person with an interesting personality. Even the side characters that are not really important for the story (like Brooklyn or Summer).

I don't think I can properly get my feelings for this book in a sentence so I'm just going to say I loved it, I never wanted to put it down and I want to reread it like right now. Also I knew after the first few pages that this would be an absolute delight to read. Casey's books just always make me so happy. :)

stop. i can’t right now.

this book hit way too close to home. i don’t know what more to say.

probably rtc

so coming back to this book, it’s probably not 5 stars. there’s many things that weren’t perfect, and the main romance didn’t live up to my increasingly high standards. with that said, the emotions i felt during this are unmatched. i feel guilty after the rollercoaster that just happened not giving 5 stars.

i’m going 4.75 stars for now, because this isn’t the best book ever, but it could be my favorite book ever.

update like 2 weeks later: this book is aging like fine wine for me. the more i think about it, the more i realize how good it really was. if you ask me what my favorite book is, there’s a good chance i’ll say this one right here.

pre-read: ya? check. sapphic? check. academic rivals to lovers? check. christian school homophobia that i know is going to hit me right in the heart? check. CASEY MCFREAKINQUINSTON? CHECK!

GIVE IT TO ME PLEASE
