The last time I read Ashley Herring Blake was when I read Girl Made Of Stars ome of the most devastating and heartwrenchkng YA books I've ever read so I was interested to see what she did with the romance genre.

And oh my god, I loved it so much!! Delilah and Claire are absolutely amazing, I love them!!! Watching their relationship blossom was actually so beautiful I loved it, how soft they were with each other.

I really loved Claire's daughter Ruby too I love that it was a book focusing on the fact the LI had a child and the struggles that comes with that as well as her coparenting with her ex, Josh. It made for a very interesting dynamic and the way Delilah treated Ruby was beautiful.

I hated both Astrid and Iris at the start but Iris especially was a character I absolutely grew to love I cannot WAIT to read her book!!! Astrid is a character I definitely came to understand more come the end of the book but I wouldnt say is a character I really like still but I'm interested to read her book next.

Overall, I loved this book so much and I vant wait to read more of Ashley's books in the future.

This was the sweet little slice of romance I needed after reading so many horror books back to back. It was a classic trope of a character moving away from their hometown only to be brought back by some event and falling in love with someone from their childhood. In this case Delilah, returns for her estranged stepsister’s wedding and falls in love with her stepsister’s childhood best friend, Claire.
I’m a little bit of a sucker for a miscommunication trope, but executed well. & I was a little frustrated by it in this one just because I felt if Claire just talked to Delilah instead of assuming shit things might have gotten resolved quicker-ish. But it wasn’t the worst.
