This can be read alone, but I loved this picks up where Taylor's last story ended! Wendy and Jason were high school sweethearts, but she ended it so he could realize his dreams. Jason always assumed she never loved him, but know that he is a famous rock star who can have anything he wants, he realizes all he wants is Wendy. Wendy left her small town and overbearing parents and wants to live life on her own terms. The last person she ever thought she would see is Jason. Their chemistry is still there, but can they overcome their past and the baggage they now have and finally find the love they thought they lost? You'll have to read all the drama, scheming exes and the smoking hot passion for yourself!

Years ago Jason walked out and left Wendy his childhood sweetheart. Now he's a famous rock star and she's working as a cocktail waitress at the Lonestar Lounge. When they see each other again both realize they still have feelings for one another. Jason immediately pursues Wendy who tries to resist but gives in and agrees to a date with him thinking that he will leave her again when he goes on tour right after Christmas. At the Lonestar lounge Wendy is attacked by a patron and her parents want her to go back to her small hometown and marry Brett her ex-boyfriend who they approve of more than Jason. Wendy just wants freedom to make her own choices and be happy with Jason.
Right when Jason is about to go on tour Wendy finds herself pregnant and decides not to tell Jason because she doesn't want him to give up his dreams for her. Jason however has a new dream, and that dream is being with Wendy. Of course miscommunication causes the two to almost miss out on their Happily Ever After but luckily they are able to forgive for past mistakes and talk about how they feel.

I liked Jason a lot in the last book and was happy he got his own book. I grew to love Wendy right away she was a lot more than meets the eye. She was strong, and sassy and both she and Jason wanted the other to be happy above all else. I cheered when Wendy stabbed the man who attacked her and I was happy that Jason didn't give up and made sure the man went to prison. The end was a little frustrating both of the characters thinking the other didn't want them or that they weren't enough. I was happy that everything worked out in the end and the two of them got the happily ever after they always deserved
