I read this book earlier this year and am catching up on my reviews. I think the premise of this book was compelling, teenagers in a dystopian kingdom who had the power to shift into different animals. However, the execution was a little rough. There were a lot of echoes especially the word blood and perspectives shifted quickly making the story confusing at times. I think that had it gone through a few more rounds of edits it really could have been compelling.

I thought it was a good idea but the writing was choppy. I don’t know if it was an edit or not but it felt a little disjointed and underdeveloped. The epilogue intrigued me and I’d be interested to see what the next book has in store. Thank you for the giveaway it was a pleasure to get a free book!
