4.5 stelle!

4 stars.

this really was a slow start for me which had me worried i wouldn’t love it as much as the other bbc books but WHY WOULD I EVER DOUBT LYSSA KAY ADAMS. god i love these boys SO MUCH and the themes of dealing with trauma and grief had me BAWLING. i adore noah and alexis’s shared issues of bottling up emotions until they burst, and both of them working through that separately before they get together for real.

also the references to the russian’s book (which i am READY FOR INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS) was so clever, i can’t wait to get back to the OG formula of the bromance book club saving a failing marriage. i need it now pls and THANK YOU.

anyway this was great also i’d die for beefcake what a GOOD BOY

It's not often that books make me come close to crying, but this one got me. It was emotional in many ways, and I loved watching these characters grow. Lyssa Kay Adams writes some of the best character development in romance books I've ever read. I adore the characters whose journey I followed. This, like the first Romance Book Club, is a story I will often think about.

not my fave of the series so far: there was just so much going on. all of it was interesting, but it did sometimes feel like there was one too many subplots. i ranked this on the higher end, though, simply bc noah is one of my fave male leads in this series!

This book, this book! I dropped it a couple weeks back and picked it up three days ago and I'm mad at myself for not finishing it sooner!
The characters were perfect, but my heart went out to Noah the most. Such a sweet loveable male lead!
I think the part that really got to me was when
the characters revealed their true feelings towards their deceased parents.
As someone who has experienced grief, I too dealt with and still dealing with anger. I shed a little tear as
they expressed their anger towards their parents. The 'what-ifs' that will never come to pass...

And when
Alexis told her dad to apologise to her mom and he said, “I can’t do that, because she’s gone. She’s dead, Alexis, and if you think that doesn’t tear me up inside, knowing that I can never say those things to her, you’re wrong. All I can do is make sure you never feel alone again.”
I SHED A TEAR
All in all, I'd recommend this group 1000%. So so lovely

Title: Crazy Stupid Bromance
Author: Lyssa Kay Adams
Rating: 3.5/5

I think friends to lovers is one of my new favorite tropes. I love The Bromance Book Club way too much. All these guys are such good friends and really try to help each other find love and it's great to read about. In this third installment we follow Alexis and Noah from the previous book in their lives post-sexual harassment scandal. Noah and Alexis are best friends but neither know whether they want to take it to the next level.

I still believe the first book is the best so far, but this one was definitely great as well. I think the long lost family storyline just didn't quite do it for me. Something just didn't seem right about it. I don't want to give away too much, but it is hard to believe that someone could be so trusting of people she doesn't even know to go and do what she does in the story.

And Noah? Yeah I'm a fan of his. He's so dorky and lovable and his feelings for Alexis are just so relatable. I think we've all been in his shoes. And the love scenes? I approve.

And can we talk about Beefcake the cat?! I literally laughed out loud over his interactions with Noah. Pure gold.

Anyway...PICK UP THIS BOOK SERIES. IT IS GREAT.
