I finished it but it took a while. The characters are cute as with all Ruby Dixon books, but I did get a bit bored in the middle. Maybe not quite enough plot line in this one?

I didn't mind this story. I am always iffy to start a book where one of the main leads are essentially a slave or captured, but I loved that her love interest wasn't her slave master. That instead she took a chance to escape and it worked out. However, it was painful to watch the miscommunication and assumptions fly between the two of them.
