Only rating this a 3 because of the Christmas vibes I was getting, but if it weren’t for that, this would be a 2 star on my list.

As much as I loved the whole small town enemies to lovers trope, one thing about Finn Mayberry that I didn’t find all that great was how he kept objectifying Freya as a sex symbol, almost every encounter and being dominant and sexist a few times where his likability meter just fell short. Like, is there ever a time where I can have a few moments where he’s not basically want to fuck Freya every single time? Lolol. Yes, it’s basically another hallmark after dark with its steamy scenes, but Finn just gives off playboy vibes. Freya, why would you fall for him?!

Not to mention, I wanted more out of the Jingle Wars competition and the ending felt a little rushed, but I’m in a jolly mood and it did give me Christmas vibes, so I’ll count it as a plus.

4.5⭐️ I love love loved this one! I’ve been looking for the perfect holiday rom com read and this one just topped the list for me. First off, Freya? Amazing, she’s been through so much in her life and she doesn’t even let on that she has or want to burden anyone with it. Finn? Incredible. So selfless, down to earth, and caring about everything and everyone. Loved the way that he fought his feelings for Freya when she first got to town but knew she was different. Loved the competition concept with the different stages, and I absolutely loved the small town feel

This was so good! I loved this. It was a super quick read and had all the warm cozy holiday feels I’m looking for. Freya was hilarious and Finn was grumpy but also the sweetest man. Their relationship was swoon worthy and delivered on the spice.

Jingle Wars was a cute little christmassy read for the winter period. I enjoyed the small snowy town vibe the book created.

Dual POV is a favourite of mine so I enjoyed hearing the sides of both characters. I loved hearing how they interpreted each others actions and words in comparison to what they actually thought deep down about each other.

The nicknames, the chemistry, the battle against actually being together (WITH AN ENEMY!!!), all of it was written beautifully.

The cabin scene was a personal favourite... sounded like heaven (minus the criminal food supply).

Grams and Gramps, what to say about them? Simply put, how clearly in love they are was just adorable!!!

I would definitely recommend this book to get yourself feeling festive for the christmas period.

Hollyridge, Montana has a new resident and she’s running the new upscale resort right in the middle of the small tourist town.
Freya will do anything to please her boss, her father and is in charge of running this resort… that’s next to Mayberry Inn… ran by multiple generations and not doing the best it’s always had… Finn Mayberry the grandson of the owners will do anything to get this Inn back in prime condition. Pissed at this resort, he enters The Jingle Wars.. a fun competition for locals to bring in tourists and have fun with a $100,000 grab prize.
Freya and Finn are at war to win.

Over the top? Yes
Cheesy? Yes
Cute and fun? Yup
Forgettable? Most definitely

Finn’s personality kept changing which threw me off a bit. I had a hard time finishing this book in one go like my normal so I kept putting it down. But - a cute Christmas story nonetheless.
