3.5 stars rounded up. Very atmospheric. Sometimes the action seemed pointless or it was going in circles. I yearned for more heart, but got it in the end. Though it was flawed I still enjoyed my time in this world.

officially a new favorite!! This book was everything you could want out of a pirate adventure story, and I am seriously obsessed.

This was so disappointing. The first book was amazing but this dragged on for so long. I was ready for the book to be over by page 100.
West ruined this book, well partly ruined because there was so much more wrong with it. The more I type the angrier I’m getting. Firstly, why do they even like each other? Like seriously they saw each other for like five minutes every few weeks with no actual conversation whatsoever and they immediately fell in love? Please save me from this bullshit. Secondly, West is such a controlling, boring asshole. He only does two things, brood and fuck things up. Literally WHY does Fable like him?? Whyyy?

The only good things about this book were the people except Fable and West.

Cutesy book! Again liked the storyline but the writing was meh. She also “raked her hands through her hair” a few too many times for my liking

Not as good as "Fable," in my opinion, but I still loved coming back to the world of Narrows! It manages to strike the perfect balance between pretty easy to grasp world building and rich culture and atmosphere. The pacing was also done very well, and I found myself easily flying through the book. However, I do feel like everything wrapped up pretty quickly and conveniently. I would've liked the epilogue to be a tad bit longer and some more scenes of the entire Marigold crew sprinkled throughout the book, but still a pretty solid follow-up to "Fable!"
