UGH HONESTLY ONE OF MY FAVES IF NOT MY FAVE BOOK OF THE YEAR šŸ«¶šŸ½ā¤
i havent read romance a whole lot this year but this one really did it for me. its been so long since I've read a book and i didn't want to the story to end. i really loved the romance in this story. as someone who is *slowly* getting out of the people pleasing mindset (and a constant overthinker) i relate so much to janelle and not looking after herself when she needs to. she was such a sweetheart fr and i loved the confidence she has. and rome šŸ„¹šŸ˜« that's a book boyfriend fr or dare i say book husband.

I honestly wish this was longer and i think stories like this have the potential to be a novel. Some things were told to us rather than shown and i think if the story had more pages, we get to see certain moments in the relationship. other than that i had a good time y'all. the love story really stood out and i think bc of that this book holds a special place in my heart

Janelle is the maid of honor at her sister, Amerieā€™s destination wedding to Janelleā€™s ex boyfriend. Janelle is genuinely happy for them, but no one will believe she doesnā€™t feel scorned, and her sister is acting like a bridezilla. This is not the stress free two weeks Janelle was hoping for. In comes Rome, the best man and he has a plan to get rid of all of Janelleā€™s stress.

Okay, so I have a new favorite book boyfriend. Iā€™m obsessed with Rome, the way he takes care of Janelle is so hot. This whole book was so sexy and sensual, I mean even the model on the cover is gorgeous. This was the first book Iā€™ve read by Natasha Bishop, but it will not be the last!!

I can finally say I understand the hype behind this book. I started it and finished it within 24 hours. I just didn't want to put it down. J. Shani Michaels and Winston James did a phenomenal job at bringing the characters to life in the audio! I was straight up blushing while listening šŸ˜³

Only for the Week is a vacation, friends (sort of) with benefits, "only for the week" hookup romance. It's short, steamy, and a wild ride. Janelle wants temporary and Rome knows that one week isn't enough. It's delectable. Their chemistry was off the charts. The smut!!!!

My favorite part was Janelle learning to stand up for herself!! It's always nice to read about a character that struggles in her familial relationships (definitely not speaking from personal experience here šŸ«¢). Rome was all about giving her what she wanted just because he could!! Loved them both.

Thanks to @kendrareadswithlove for constantly sharing about this book!!!

Definitely cute but the characters pissed me off so bad. Rome and Javier were the heroes of this book!

The week before the rest of the wedding guests arrive, Rome offers to be a human stress reliever for Janelle as sheā€™s bogged down by the friction with her jealous sister. Romeā€™s motto is: ā€œWhatever you need and want, whenever you need and want it.ā€ As a high quality book boyfriend, he doesnā€™t disappoint in the infamous yacht scene (where they became a book club of two) or the snorkeling and room service scenes. He rides for her when sheā€™s not there and even when sheā€™s present and chooses not to speak up for herself. This book wasnā€™t just about finding love but also about creating boundaries and lived up to all the hype.

This book was so well written! For being such a fast-paced romance the depth and character development was amazing. There are characters you'll love and root for as well as characters you'll just want to punch in the face. Rome was a swoon-worthy book boyfriend. Not only was their relationship so fun to watch, bu they were so good for each other. The way he helped Janelle to stand up for and prioritize herself! And the banter between all the characters was fun.
