Rome! That’s it that’s all. The way he poured into Janelle and loved her unconditionally! Top tier boyfriend.

All my yes's!
Ms. Bishop did the d*mn thang! I am still thinking about Rome and Janelle over a week later. The chemistry and banter and solace between these two characters brought me immense joy.

I loved the interactions within the friend group. Humor and honesty in equal measures made for a fun time. The setting also added to the romance and adventure of the story. The family drama made my blood boil. Janelle is such a compassionate and selfless person. The fact that she had to deal with Amerie and and her fiancé, pushed me close to the edge. They were just trash. Ugh!

Now, let's talk about Rome Martin. He is everything! Focused, persistent, patient, passionate, loyal, and all in for Janelle. A sexy, commanding beast in the sheets. His love is pure reverence, and I want to give him all of my yes's.

I received an ARC of this for a fair review.

Janelle and Rome are in Tulum for a wedding. His best friend, who also happens to be her ex, is marrying her sister. But Janelle and Rome feel an attraction they can't shake so they decide to have a vacation fling. It's only for the week, right?

Let me start out by saying that Natasha Bishop did something incredible with this book. Her writing style, her rhythm and pacing make for a smooth read you don't want to put down. I also love that even though the premise of the book was dramatic, the actual book wasn't. The author leaned into the emotion of it, instead of the shock value. It was perfect in that way. Janelle and Rome are very hot, and very sexy. Janelle is my queen! The poise she showed when those people she called her family were trying her!!! I was so mad for her. But I am glad she said what she needed to say and made the best choice for her and her peace in the end. Her ex is still slimy, idc idc idc. Janelle was mature, and she was understanding... until she couldn't be. I was happy she had Rome to make it better.

And Rome's willingness to take care of Janelle in a way that no one else would was so romantic. He catered to her needs, and not just the physical ones. Rome is bookbae material at it's finest. He was patient when it was time to be, and passionate when it was time to be and also a straight savage and a protector when it was time to be.

Read this book!

I had such a great time reading this book.
This book follows Janelle who is attending her sister’s wedding in Tulum. Her sister just so happens to be marrying her ex boyfriend. Enter Rome, the best man and bestfriend of the groom, who’s always had a thing for Janelle but kept his distance. Now, just by that premise you’d expect this book to be drama filled but it really wasn’t. Instead this book was more about the emotional connections between the characters and the growth of our main character Janelle.

Rome and Janelle had such amazing chemistry. Their banter was so funny. They were such a joy to read about. I really loved how composed Janelle was throughout this book. Because her sister was really trying her. I wanted to fight her sister on her behalf. I’m glad she did eventually confront her. I’m also glad she had Rome for support.

Rome is that guy. From jump he was down bad. All he wanted was to take care of Janelle and love on her. He was so romantic and patient with her. I loved that he stood up for her in moments when she didn’t stand up for herself and moments when she wasn’t even around. Rome is a top tier book boyfriend!

I also really loved the group of friends in this book. I’m really hoping we are going to get some of their stories. ‘Cause I could see a little something something between a few of them.

Go read this book!!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
