i’m gonna sound like a mega bitch but i disliked to see that darcy got a happy ending. i liked to see her get her ass handed to her
i didn’t like that she ended with ethan at all whatsoever, i was rooting for them to be apart but alas it was all in vain. i disliked her from the very beginning and liked to see her suffer with marcus.
it was nice to see her go through some major much needed character development that was great, amazing to see how much of a better person she could be.
didn’t love that she kept the babies that uh turned me away even more so

Holy macaroni I hated this book in the beginning but I could not stop at the end! Plot twist I love Darcy???
THe "sequel" to Giffin's booke "Something Borrowed"...this tells the tale of what happens to Darcy after she finds her best friend Rachel and her fiance Dex have fallen in love. Finding out she (Darcy) is pregnant with groomsmen Marcus' baby, Darcy has to take a hard look at herself, her life, and her priorities. It's hard to like Darcy...she is totally self-absorbed, but the book is an easy read and has a happy ending.
"Following the smash-hit SOMETHING BORROWED comes story of betrayal, redemption, and forgiveness Darcy Rhone has always been able to rely on a few things: Her beauty and charm. Her fiance, Dex. Her lifelong best friend, Rachel. She never needed anything else. Or so she thinks until Dex calls off their dream wedding and she uncovers the ultimate betrayal. Blaming everyone but herself, Darcy flees to London and attempts to re-create her glamorous life on a new continent. But to her dismay, she discovers that her tried-and-true tricks no longer apply--and that her luck has finally expired. It is only then that she can begin her journey toward redemption, forgiveness, and true love."

Continuation after all the events of Something Borrowed. Also really cute!
I know, a very light read. I enjoyed this one even more than the proceeding one. I loved the transformation of Darcy, the main character in the book. Plus, I think every woman has to admit that they've had lapses in judgement, though not quite on as grand a scale as Darcy. And the romance plotline is very sweet, even if it is easy to predict the ending. I keep coming back to this book, and probably never would have picked it up, had it not been practically the only English novel in a French B&B I once stayed in.

This is a sequel to Something Borrowed. Overall it was a good book, the main character Darcy transitions from a self-centered brat to a fairly mature adult by the end of book. Pretty predictable but not a bad read.
