The sequel to "Something Borrowed," this book follows Darcy who was my least favorite character in the first book. Despite this, I enjoyed the book because of the character development and maturity that Darcy discovers. I still would have liked to have seen the events from Rachel's perspective, though.

Liked revisiting these characters, but felt the change in Darcy was a bit forced, especially toward the end. It happened too quickly. Not as seamless as the first novel. Still, would totally recommend.

I rewatched Something Borrowed last weekend while hungover (don't ask how many times I've seen it), which led to me finally picking up this book. And yeah, I pictured John Krasinski and Kate Hudson the whole time.

The perfect follow up to Something Borrowed. I loved both books

I did not think this book was as good as Something Borrowed, but it was still pretty good. I found it interesting to see events through Darcy's point of view and it was nice to have loose ends left by the first book tied up. While I like that Darcy changes, I must say it was slightly unrealistic and a little too neat. However, overall, I enjoyed the book.

I get that Giffin was trying to make an unlikeable character into a suddenly likeable one, but I'm not sure there was enough story here to really earn that for me. I just think I needed more from the development of the relationship central to this book, and I definitely needed more on the transition in Darcy's character.

I had a feeling going in (based on the last book) that the one thing I could certainly expect was that no matter what happened, everything was going to be fine...better than fine...probably perfect, by the end. And it was. Right down to the convenient "oh but don't worry, not even the castoffs are left single" thing at the end.

Aside from the heavily contrived happy endings, Darcy's portrayal really annoyed me. Not who she was or what she was like, but the way the narration looked down its nose at her; it screamed false. It was almost like handing Rachel a pen and asking her to try and write what Darcy must think of herself. "Oh, I say shallow things like this all the time," thinks no one who says shallow things all the time.

It got two stars instead of one because despite the contents, I like the writing. It's clear and simple, easy to sink into.

This book was a little reptitive if you read Something Borrowed, the first almost half was a rehash of the first book just from a different perspective, which was nice to learn but was sort of like "been there done that" This book was a fast read, I finished it really in like a few settings.

Being a sequel, I wasn't sure what to expect. I liked the title - very fitting both in mood and in terms of the pregnancy. Quick read, nice charcters (mostly developed in the first book, but re-introduced here).
