At first I didn’t want to hear Darcy’s pov but then I started to find it quite funny.
It was very satisfying to see her hit her low point, but then I was really rooting for her to change and was eager to see her turn things around for herself, although as it went on it became a bit predictable.
Also the whole getting pregnant situation was so random, even though Darcy was kind of off the rails, kind of actively choosing to get pregnant went against everything she traditionally seemed like she still kind of wanted. I also felt like pushing marriage on Marcus was really unfair but I guess it was to emphasise just how desperate and manipulative she really was.
As i expected, I enjoyed this sequel to Something Borrowed. I will say I hated Darcy and but like for many other readers, she grew on me. I liked how her thoughts evolved from the beginning of the book to the end with her revelations on herself and life. As much as i like Darcy now, I am still team Rachel (and Dex). I got excited when Dex made several appearances in this book but would have liked to see more of Rachel as well. Emily Giffin is growing to be one of my favorite authors and she knows how to make her readers feel like they know her characters in real life. The best thing about her writing style is that the situations are realistic which makes them fascinating reads. I don't think it will happen but I would be excited if Emily comes up with more stories on Darcy, Ethan, Dex, and Rachel. :)

Last 30 pages had me crying in the doctors waiting room, no shame
This one didn't have anyone sleeping with their best friend's fiancé, at least. But I didn't really buy Darcy's sudden transformation. Just because Ethan said she was selfish? Seems like if something was going to do it, it would have been becoming pregnant. But whatever did it, she did a total about face and was a completely different character for the second half of the book. Better, no doubt, but not particularly believable.

I am over darcy and her self pitty. she is a hypocrite and I honestly do not care what happens to her. 70 pages into the book and I'm over it. read the last page, not sold on it.
