Surprisingly nice, like the movie Something Borrowed. I just took too long, finishing it after two days. The first parts were a little dragging, but necessary. Hehe!
Will probably check out some Emily Giffin stories again next time.
"How would I be able to take care of twins—or even tell them apart? It felt surreal."
Parang gusto ko rin ng twin boys. Wahahaha!

This was a much more enjoyable read than Something Borrowed.
Despite being a headstrong, take-action kind of woman, Darcy had a tendency to make herself the victim—everything happened to her. Even as she internally acknowledged herself hurting others or pushing them away, she focused on her pain and prioritized her needs over everyone and everything else.
So I enjoyed watching her realize she could no longer be deluded about the large part her own issues played in her hitting rock bottom. Rather than continuing to wallow in anger and self pity, she chose to confront her problems and to try and be better.
Swapping the two pretty hateable main characters from the first book for one pretty unlikable woman going through the roughest time of her life, this book tells a story of adaptability, growth, redemption, and understanding.

I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as the first book, Something Borrowed, mostly because I could not stand Darcy's pretentiousness and selfishness as it persisted through most of the book. However, the story was still very intriguing, and I am glad to say, Darcy's attitude improved drastically throughout the course of the story.

This book was very well written and I really loved the way that the character of Darcy evolved throughout the story. I can see that this particular author likes to usually give her main characters a happy ending and while that is reassuring, I think sometimes it might be alright to surprise the reader and maybe not have things end up perfectly every single time.
OK, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Something Borrowed. Although I love a happy ending, everything was just tied up (in a blue bow) just a little too perfect at the end.

Okay, it was a good follow-up to Something Borrowed. I enjoyed finding out "what happened next". But everything gets resolved a little too neatly. Normally I like happy endings, but this had a bit too much saccharin.
