I really enjoyed this one. I loved the fact the we finally had a male main character and when I first starting reading all I could think was "he's the one who made the bird house in the woods, in Ashlyyn Ella's story". I hope that something goes wrong with their legacy years where they don't follow in the footsteps of their fairytale parents (I'm sure that's where then story goes) and I hope that hunter and Ashlyyn get to be together.

Outside of the webisodes, I honestly hadnt known much about Hunter.and in the Book of Legends novel he was mostly just slightly mentioned when the plot called for it, he's actually a pretty cool guy though.

I'm honestly kind of curious about how his and Ashlynn's relationship played out, I mean now I/we have how they first saw each other (sorta) but I mean how about after that? How did we get from point A to point B?

Who knows. Cute short story though.

3 stars because it was really too short for anything else. (Kind of like this review.)

To make it worth your while to read these few lines, here's a quote from the story:

"I'll save you!" the father and son cried in unison. Then, as had been Huntsman tradition for hundreds of years, they inacted the Huntsman-To-The-Rescue Move. With shoulders back, chests out, they tore off their shirts, showing that nothing--not even a shirt--could get between them and Saving the Day. The two Huntsmen held the pose while invisible trumpets played a heroic fanfare."

Family bonding at its best.

Another short read with DD to lead up to a longer Ever After High book. Lot of eco-minded vegans in this series.
