Holy shit. Holy— that ending. Wow. Um, I got shooketh

It's really cool from the start to the end. I love Violet, she is so smart. The mind of a scribe and the heart of a rider, Andarna said. Really cool. The conflict between her and Xaden is really understandable, considering what they've been through, even though I read many people don't like it. But I understand. Anyway, I can't wait for the third book.

This was an excellent book! It got a little slow in the middle and I personally felt it lost a little traction, but it picked up again and had a great last half and amazing ending. The characters and plot are so so good

I think I have a different perspective as I read this as an audiobook, so the somewhat tedious second act wasn't as much work as it would have been if I were reading it without someone else doing the voicework. The third act does a good job of setting up for the next book. Overall, I think this was better written than Fourth Wing and we need to remember that this is designed to be a five book series, so we're still in the plot and character development phase of the story arch
