*4/5*

I'm reading all the graphic novels that have Doctor Aphra in them...
But even though she was only in 1 of the issues here, this whole book was great. I loved all of the stories told.

Some more awesome insight into Ben's time on tatooine. Also, I really like some of these new canon characters and hope to see them more.

Not as good as the last arc but still interesting. Enjoyed the jail portion but not as fleshed out as I'd like it to be. Gotta love Aphra encountering Leia more, though.

The adventure continues. I am enjoying catching up on the characters. I have been a minor SW fan for a long time, and getting to deepen my knowledge of this fictional universe is interesting.

Not a bad start. The spy story was at least interesting. The middle bit, with the weird jail, did next to nothing for me. I thought Dr. Aphra acted unlike she had in Vader, to the point where they probably should've just slapped another name on her.
SpoilerHad the story not connected to the spy one from earlier, I'd've said it was a complete waste of time, and even so, it was weak.

The "from the journals of Ben Kenobi" issue was not bad. The story was thin, but the artwork was gorgeous, and earned this book one of its stars.

Maybe the Force isn't as strong in this volume as the previous ones but it's still good fun, has great artwork and plenty of moments with Princess Leia.

Annual number 1 is written by Kieron Gillen and features rebel spy Eneb Ray on a secret mission on Coruscant to assassinate the Emperor. I've got a bad feeling about this 😉.
It's dramatic and although seemingly a standalone story it does have repercussions.

Issue 15 by Jason Aaron gives us a tale from the journal of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He's looking out for the welfare of young Luke Skywalker while trying to keep a low profile living on Tattooine
It's a nice story and shows Luke's love of flying.

The main Rebel Jail story by Jason Aaron is told over issues 16 to 19 and features Leia working with Sana Starros. They're delivering a prisoner to a secret rebel facility while Luke and Han are off in the Millennium Falcon to get supplies.
Of course nothing goes to plan.
The Luke & Han sideplot is somewhat silly and inconsequential which detracts from the tension of the main story but overall there's enough here to keep most Star Wars fans happy.

A secret rebel prison is under attack from a new, tormented villain. Not as solid as the first two installments of the series but still pretty darn good fun to read.
